AI SEO in Dubai: what an AI SEO company actually does — and what it cannot promise

Before any AI engine can recommend you, it has to be able to find and read you. This is AI SEO — the technical layer of AI search optimization: structured data, llms.txt, crawler access, Bing coverage — and it is where most UAE websites silently fail.

If you are looking for an AI SEO company in Dubai, the useful question is not which one promises the most. It is which one will measure your starting point before quoting, and tell you plainly that no provider can guarantee an AI mention — because none of them control what a model outputs. We publish our own measurements and our prices, so you can check both before speaking to us.

Is AI SEO different from SEO?

It is SEO with a second reader added, not a replacement for it. Everything classic SEO asks for — pages a crawler can fetch, clean markup, a sitemap that is actually complete, a site that loads — is the precondition for an AI engine reading you at all. Nothing about that got less important; a page an engine cannot fetch cannot be quoted by anything.

What changed is what happens after the fetch. A search engine ranks your page against others and shows a link. An AI engine extracts facts and restates them in its own words, without necessarily sending anyone to your site. That rewards a different quality: not "does this page deserve position three", but "can I state something about this business without guessing". Structured data, a plain-text statement of who you are, and consistent facts across sources are how you answer that — and they are additions to the SEO foundation, not substitutes for it.

So the honest sequence is: fix the crawlable, indexable basics first, then add the machine-readable layer on top. Agencies that tell you SEO is dead are selling the second half to people who never got the first half done.

What does AI search optimization actually involve?

Four technical layers, all verifiable on the live site: schema.org structured data, an llms.txt stating your business in plain text, crawler access with a correct sitemap, and Bing plus IndexNow coverage so AI search can reach you at all.

1

Structured data (schema.org)

LocalBusiness / Organization / Service / FAQ markup so engines extract your name, location, offers and answers without guessing.

2

llms.txt & llms-full.txt

Your business stated in plain text for AI crawlers — what you do, where, for whom, at what terms.

3

Crawler access & sitemap correctness

robots.txt that admits GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Bingbot; a sitemap that actually contains every page that matters (missing pages are a failure we find constantly — including on our own site once).

4

Bing & IndexNow

Bing Webmaster Tools verification, sitemap submission, and IndexNow so new pages are pushed to the index within minutes instead of waiting weeks for a crawl.

5

Live verification

Every item checked on the published site — live HTML, live headers — not in staging. A fix that isn't live isn't a fix.

We run this playbook on ourselves

This site carries the same stack we implement for clients — structured data on every page, llms.txt, Bing + IndexNow, and monthly self-measurement. Check it: view this page's source, or open miraireach.marketing/llms.txt. If a technique isn't good enough for our own visibility, we don't sell it.

AI SEO, GEO, AEO, AIO, LLM SEO — what is the difference?

The industry hasn't settled on a word yet, so the same discipline trades under five: AI SEO (AI search optimization — this page), GEO (generative engine optimization), AEO (answer engine optimization), AIO — used both for Google AI Overviews optimization and for "artificial intelligence optimization" — and LLM SEO, optimizing to be cited by large language models like ChatGPT and Gemini.

Whatever you call it, the work decomposes the same way: make your business readable (this page), make it credible (reviews, entity consistency, third-party citations), and make it answerable (content that directly answers buyer questions). If an agency sells you one name as a secret discipline the others lack, that's marketing, not method.

Why do Dubai websites fail this specifically?

Six failures account for almost everything we find, and most of them are not really about code — they are about the way businesses here were built.

What we findWhy it makes you unreadable
The menu is a picture A menu or price list saved as a JPG or a PDF is not text. Engines cannot extract a single dish, price or service from it. In our July 2026 F&B pilot this was the most common single blocker.
Instagram is the website A large share of Dubai SMEs run entirely on a social profile. There is no crawlable page to cite, so the engine cites whoever wrote about you instead.
The delivery platform speaks for you Talabat, Deliveroo and Zomato pages index well — but they describe you in the platform's words, and the platform collects the citation. You are visible; your site is not.
Free-zone address drift Licence address, trading address and a vague "Dubai, UAE" in the footer. Three versions of where you are is a contradiction, and contradictions are what stop an engine committing to a statement about you.
Arabic set as graphics Bilingual sites often render the Arabic side as images. Half your market becomes unreadable to machines even though it looks complete to people.
Bing never touched Verification, sitemap and IndexNow take an afternoon once. Almost no UAE SME site we audit has done it — which is why the ChatGPT layer never sees them.

How long does AI SEO take to work?

Readable in days. Named in months. The two halves move on completely different clocks, and conflating them is how expectations get broken.

StageRealistic window
Structured data, llms.txt, robots and sitemap correctedSame week
Bing verification, submission and IndexNow — pages reaching the index that feeds ChatGPTDays to a few weeks
Engines beginning to state facts about you from your own markup rather than guessingWeeks
Being named in answers — needs corroboration from reviews and third-party sources, not just readabilityOne to three months on an indexed site; longer from a standing start

Nobody can promise a date for the last row, and a provider who does is describing something they do not control. What we commit to is the work and the same measurement every month, reported whether it moved or not.

The long version is our 20-point checklist.

Honest scope: the technical layer makes you readable — it does not by itself make you recommended. Recommendation also needs reviews, entity consistency and third-party citations. We'll tell you which layer your gap is actually in, because fixing the wrong one wastes your money.

Frequently asked questions

Is AI SEO the same as SEO?

It is SEO with a second reader added, not a replacement for it. Everything classic SEO asks for — fetchable pages, clean markup, a complete sitemap, a site that loads — is the precondition for an AI engine reading you at all. What changed is what happens after the fetch: a search engine ranks your page and shows a link, while an AI engine extracts facts and restates them in its own words. That rewards machine-readable, consistent facts on top of the SEO foundation — not instead of it.

How do I check whether AI can read my website?

Four checks, ten minutes, no tools. View the page source and search for application/ld+json — if there is none, engines are guessing about you. Open yoursite.com/llms.txt and see whether it 404s. Open yoursite.com/robots.txt and check you are not blocking GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot. Then search Bing for site:yoursite.com — far fewer pages than you have means the layer ChatGPT searches through cannot see you. Finally, try to select your menu or price list with the mouse; if you can't, it is a picture and no engine can read it.

How long does AI SEO take to work?

Readable in days, named in months. Structured data, llms.txt, robots and sitemap corrections land the same week; Bing verification and IndexNow get pages into the index that feeds ChatGPT within days to a few weeks. Being actually named in AI answers is slower — one to three months on an already-indexed site, longer from a standing start — because that needs corroboration from reviews and third-party sources, not just readability. No provider can promise a date for that, and one who does is describing something they do not control.

How do I optimize my website for AI search?

Five technical layers: (1) schema.org structured data so engines can extract your facts; (2) an llms.txt file — a plain-text statement of your business for AI crawlers; (3) robots.txt that does not block GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot or Bingbot; (4) a sitemap that actually lists every page you care about; (5) Bing Webmaster Tools verification plus IndexNow, because ChatGPT-class assistants search through Bing. Then verify everything on the live published HTML — implementations that only exist in staging do not count.

What is llms.txt and do I need one?

llms.txt is an emerging convention: a plain-text file at your site root stating what your business does, where it operates and what it offers, written for AI crawlers to read directly. It costs nothing, takes an hour, and removes the guesswork engines otherwise do. Adoption in the UAE is near zero, which makes it an easy differentiator.

Why does Bing matter if my customers use Google?

Because ChatGPT's live web search runs through Bing's index. A site indexed only by Google is invisible to that entire layer of AI recommendations. Verifying in Bing Webmaster Tools, submitting the sitemap and enabling IndexNow are one-time tasks that most UAE sites have never done.
